THE THINKING BEHIND THE NUMBER
AOV measures revenue per completed order for a chosen period. Keep revenue and order counts aligned to that period.
AOV = total revenue ÷ orders. Scenario difference = (target AOV − current AOV) × monthly orders.
For illustration, enter total revenue ₹1,00,000, number of orders 100, target aov (optional) ₹1,200, monthly orders for scenario 100. With the remaining fields at their starting values, the average order value is ₹1,000.00. Replace these sample figures with your own numbers before making a decision.
The target AOV scenario assumes order volume stays unchanged; actual behaviour may differ.
Use the result alongside your store analytics, product costs and operating context. If the inputs are estimates, treat the output as an estimate too. Change one input at a time to understand what drives the result.
